I am 6 ‘ tall 180 lbs bought a large fleece and returned it. It was uncomfortably tight in chest and shoulders .

I have several 1/2 zip fleeces from other manufacturers but my Smartwool Active Fleece is my new favorite. I wear it over an All Season Smartwool base layer on cool days and I’m totally comfortable. I’m looking forward to using it this winter while skiing.
It fits really well and allows me to move freely. I liked my first one so much I bought another one. This will definitely be one of my daily layers this winter. Well done Smartwool!

I use for 35 – 45 degree long trail runs (I run a lot). I have a rotation of Patagonia and Nike outer layers and already like this Smartwool fleece better. It’s warmer than the Patagonia bc it’s a tighter weave and doesn’t let as much air thru. It’s more comfortable than the Nike which has too much bulk, esp around the wrists. I like the fact that it has thumb slits but isn’t bulky around the wristsmeaning I have easier access to my watch during a run. And, either I didn’t sweat as much wearing it or it doesn’t hold sweat as much as the Nike does. It has ample reflective materials to be safe in the dark. In short, it’s warm but not bulky or heavy, form fitting but not too tight or too looseI typically wear a medium and I got a large and it fits perfect. I am buying more and more Smartwool athletic gear and really like it. (And I’m really loyal to Nike, Pat and North Face). For me, this is better designed clothing for endurance athletes, esp wrt trail running and mountaineering. I know I’ll be using this fleece and the Smartwool tights as a skiing base layer too.

The perfect top for those cooler Fall days on the trail (or road for that matter). Light enough but warm enough for a nice jaunt through the woods, even with a light drizzle.

Diggin this top when it’s cool, even chilly, for morning runs and all-day hikes. Warm, comfy, and designed for active – even does its job when it’s a little misty. Like the fit, the style, the everything.

I bought this for my significant other. It fits and he seems to like it. If he’s happy, great!
Marc –
Perfect fit and amazing materials. I’ve already purchased another one in a different color.
Nick –
I really want to like this shirt. The fabric is nice, it’s a good weight, and the features are good but the sizing is weird. The shoulders are blocky and almost make a ridge at the arm seam like it’s too big, but the chest would likely be too small on a small. I can make the shirt work, but that’s a lot to spend for a poor fit I’ve already run in this so feel stuck with an odd-fitting expensive top.
Marc –
Great fit and material – I also purchased a black one as well.
Katherine –
Great thickness and warmth. Great quality product.

Fit is very good, 5’9″ 200lbs, average body type. Color looks great and fit from shoulders down to my wrists/thumb holes fits well and I’ve been using this with a layer underneath for hiking and my running club in January. Still playing around with better base layers to stay warmer. It has been great on my 30-50 degree runs with just a simple under shirt though. The marching size for active fleece joggers/bottoms was approx a 32-33 inch inseam so I didn’t buy that, wish the matching bottoms in size large were more of a 30-31 inch inseam and I would’ve bought them both together.

outdoor activities and casual wear, nice quality but poor fit, Chest and shoulders were too tight, I typically wear size medium, I am 5’6″ , 160 lbs., athletic build, 33 waist,
Adam –
I returned it, it was too fitter for my body type.

Warmer than the merino wool sweater that I had. Colour way darker than it appear on your web.
Too much of a hassle to return but vrey happy with the product.
