I switched from my old ragg socks to Smartwool back in the 90s and have watched them change through the years. I’m concerned about the durability of the cuff design and the newest socks seem to have gotten slightly bigger and baggier even as my foot has grown from a size 10 to an 11.

These are my go-to socks as they are less expensive than other Smartwool models, they last years and are comfy as usual. The new version seem less “tight” than the hiking-specific ones, so keep that in mind if you prefer a snugger fit.

Soft, cushiony, and warm. I wear a size 11 Women’s, which honestly feels like it falls in the middle. The large is just a bit roomy so not quite as warm and cozy as they could be but the medium is just a little too tight. Only thing that would make these socks better would be an in-between size. They get 5 stars anyway, they’re really nice!
