These are good quality socks however I do fee like my feet sweat more than typical while wearing them. They are quite thick for something that is called “Light Cushion” socks. Next time I will opt out for a thinner version of these.

For my narrow but long foot and boots, the medium size is a bit too much extra material in the toe. It is still the most comfortable winter boot sock I have ever worn.

I actually purchased these socks to wear casually for sneakers and larger boots, rather than for purely hiking. The slight cushion and wool material make wearing any shoes (especially larger heavy boots) more comfortable. I can go miles in these with no discomfort.
I wish Smartwool would make more sock options with solid colors (black, white, etc.) that have no visible logo. I want to purchase more Smartwool socks with light cushion and no cushion, but I don’t want the distracting designs and logos everywhere. Please listen to your customers.

I love Smartwool socks. The Hike Crew is my all time favorite! I’ve been wearing these for years and it takes years to wear them out. I like to add 4-6 pairs of new socks each year to my collection. These have perfect cushion. They never slide down or bunch up under my arch.

Love, love, love these socks. They are perfect for comfort and for keeping your feet warm on cold blistery days. I had boughten a couple of pairs ten years ago and they just started wearing out. They were my favorite socks and I have worn them many times. They have held up extremely well throughout the years. It was now time to buy another pair and I wanted to stay with the tried and true Smartwool socks. The cusioning is perfect after being on my feet all day long and my feet are not as tired when I wear them. I highly recommend spending the extra money, you won’t need to buy socks for years for how well they are made.
