I had some knee socks I loved from Smartwool, thicker and solid colors – purple and another pair in brown. These are too thin, and the pattern is kinda weird. I would have preferred solid, more color options and thicker. These slide down and just don’t feel like the same quality.

I prefer very thin knee-high socks and have historically had best luck finding either (nylon) compression socks or cotton socks. But I just tried these Smartwool socks and love, love, LOVE them! They and thin enough for my tastes but much warmer than all my others. Well worth the price!

I wanted a pair of “knee socks” like I wore in high school and these were perfect Evan down to the subtle cable design. Socks are comfy,stretchy and warm. Will definitely buy more.

I bought two pairs in a beautiful deep purple. I wear a size 8.5 shoe but got the women’s size L and am glad that I did. They fit perfectly. My calves are on the thinner side but they fit my calves perfectly too and they do stay up. Definitely size up if you are wondering which size to get. These work really well in work boots as they are warm but not too thick. They also work well in dressier boots. They are soft and comfortable, no scratchiness at all. Highly recommend.

I love these socks! I am a woman who wears a size 42 shoes and my calves are 15 inches wide. It is hard to find knee high socks which fit well and stay up, these do. I want wool knee high socks for when I wear wide leg pants in the autumn and winter, in New England. They are a beautiful color which is rarely found in the stores I frequent and the cable knit gives it a lovely texture, both of which go well with an amazing number of my clothes. I bought these socks on sale and while they cost more than most socks I buy, I know from other Smartwool socks I’ve purchased, I’ll get more wear out of them… and enjoy wearing them.
