simple, wool, warm

So I had to return this several times, maybe it’s because the sizing is a bit odd, or maybe my girlfriend has small hands. Either way, she loves this mitts! They weren’t made for a day on the slopes or working in the rain. These are perfect for a chilly drive to work, a spring/fall mitt, or as a base layer under a bulky cold weather mitt. The ability to use your smartphone even in the cold is pretty fantastic and your hands remain remarkably agile in this light, stretchy, comfortable fabric.

These are great mittens. Great base layer or for weather down to about 30ish degrees or so. Only drawback is that they are not meant for heavy duty work so that will break them down. And washing them in the machine is hard on them as well.

These mittens are a great investment. Smartwool is a reliable brand with well-made items – these mittens are no exception! I’ve been looking for a pair of mittens to wear while running outdoors during the cold winter months. These gloves keep my hands warm without making them hot and they don’t seem to be compromised by the dampness of snow and rain.

These are great, they’re very warm, especially considering how thin/light they are. The only downside is I’ve had some issues with the touch capabilities, but honestly it’s worth the slight irritation to have warm hands while using my phone.

Love! The first tech gloves I’ve bought that work perfectly, and the only tech mittens I’ve found! Great bc I prefer mittens to gloves.

I love my Smartwool socks and was excited that they made mittens too, but these are going back. They are stylish and feel nice and roomy, but unfortunately they are on the thin side since they’re only one layer. I thought that they would have some sort of lining to provide more warmth. If you are looking for regular knit mittens then these are for you, but if you wanted a thicker, warmer pair, then pass.

Lightweights and breathable but keep my fingers toasty warm!

Love how it looks and fits wonderfully. The smart tech thumb works well too. But there’s no lining, so it seems too thin to keep your hands really really warm on very cold days. Great for everyday city wear though.

Bought these mittens for chilly day runs when I need a little extra warmth. They fit good and are well constructed. I have used them a dozen or so times so far and they are holding up great. They do there job well and keep my hands warm. I do not normally like wearing gloves/mittens of any sort, but do not mind using these. Also should note they do run a little large.

Well made and keeps my hands warm when I need a little extra warmth on cold day runs. The merino wool is comfortable, not itchy and drys quick. These also wash well and did not shrink much in the dryer. I sized down one size based on other reviews saying that they fit large and it worked for me. I have run in them a dozen or so time and they are showing zero signs of wear yet. These are well made, durable good mittens. #sweepstakes

Just what I was looking for. They’re comfortable, fit great, and seem well made. I’ve slipped them on and off several times over my rings and they don’t snag. As described, these are thin, light mittens. Perfect for the car, for a jog etc. I’m also intending to use them as a base layer on the slopes–will wear an insulated, water-resistant mitten over these for added warmth. Thanks for providing solid basics, Smartwool!

I love my knit mittens — light weight but still warm

Great thin mittens that work perfectly at keeping my hands the right temperature during active outdoor activities in the winter! Would recommend.

It is hard to find lightweight mittens for the colder but not sub zero days. These are the perfect weight and once I get walking they warm my hands up nicely. Also nice for running errands.
Cassidy –
Thin but warm

I love these mittens. Very comfy and I use it as a liner during outdoor sports but I’ve worn it when I’m in/out of buildings for errands and do not need thick mittens. Very versatile product.

I’m so happy with these cozy mittens. I’m traveling to the midwest this Thanksgiving and I want to be prepared! This is my first non sock purchase from Smartwool. The mittens won’t be my last.
Judith –
I’m pleased with the quality of these mittens. They’re lightweight and well constructed.

Using it to go dog walking. Bought a larger size as I read they fit small. Had to pick a sizing above but not true to size.

Nice

Good for walking the dog in the morning

I wear these over Smartwool liner gloves for a truly warm experience
Ann-Marie –
These are fabulous mittens! They’re thin and lightweight, but so very warm!

I love these mittens. I bought them for running in cold weather and find I grab them for everything. They are thin, but so warm. I wear them in 15 degree weather with wind and they keep my hands perfectly warm. I even find when I am running in 25 degree weather I have to take them off after 30 minutes or so because my hands are a little too warm! I do not like to be cold and am almost always cold in the winter. I also love that the small actually fits my hands and isn’t too floppy or too tight. I am a super fan.
