Jon –
Great training piece.

I have several of the breanie hats, which I like very much. This beanie with the merino fleece lining is softer, more comfortable, has a cozier feel. I haven’t used it yet for any strenuous work, but for just wearing around it has become my new favorite.
Jeffrey –
All smart wool beanies are way too big, they should offer a smaller size instead of one size fits all
Tom S –
Doesn’t feel good, itchy forehead after a few mins of wearing it.
Dont buy for cold temps
David F –
I wear hat almost every day of the year. This is a nice lightweight hat suitable for activities. As a charter boat captain the sunglass holding feature is nice. Adding a non-black color option would be nice.
Robert –
I have a few of these and have also given them as gifts. It’s a perfect lightweight beanie for temps in the 25F-40F degree range. This is my go-to for cold weather mountain bike rides – it’s thin to fit under my helmet but not too thick/warm for high exertion exercise. Also, the built-in passthrough for the temples of my sunglasses works perfectly. Love these.
Andy –
This is my second sport beanie. I have found it to be an excellent beanie for cycling in the cooler months and use it daily once winter actually arrives to Texas. It would be awesome to win the #sweepstakes so I could purchase more Smartwool gear!!!
Bill –
Great Beanie

BeBWhat do you think?
Charles –
Awesome mid-weight beanie, packs small for its warmth, great fit, wears very well. This will handle most conditions between 20F and 40F, your go-to beanie to have in your pocket…a little light if it’s really cold, a little warm if it’s not cold.
Eric –
This is a great beanie. I used it for cycling. I like it because it covers my whole head and, because it is made out of wool, it helps my helmet stay in place which my polyester beanies will not do. So, they’re out the door and this one is in.
Franklin –
Works well for keeping warm and when you need sunglasses. Stays in place better than other beanies for athletic needs.
Dean –
Perfect lightweight hat for my bald head when it’s about 30 degrees, or cooler and I’m hiking. Just bought a replacement after losing the original. This is the right thickness; the other beanies were either to thin with little to no warmth retention, or too thick for mild temperatures, causing excessive sweating.
Manuel –
Good , not overwhelming, I used as base layer, good for indoor as well
Lynne –
A versatile year round hat that keeps my ears warm in cold weather, keeps my hair out of my eyes on windy days and bugs away from my ears in spring and summer. I have two of these. Absolutely love them.
I have one with me all the time.
Clifton –
Love all your products and have used them for years on several hiking/camping trips. This beanie us great, love the holes for my glasses!
Gary –
My only complaint was that it was larger than the one I previously owned, so was a touch loose but still worked well. As a guy with a shaved head, I wore mine constantly in a recent trip to Ireland and Scotland. It kept my head warm and dry in a wide variety of cold, wet and windy conditions. After washing, I could hang it for a few hours in my hotel room and it would be dry in a fraction of the time as more traditional materials. Surprisingly compact and stored easily in my jacket pocket throughout my adventures.
Todd –
Awesome
Matthew –
A little too big for my head. Otherwise like it.
James –
Use under my ski helmet
Outback J –
Smartly designed to accommodate glasses. Very comfortable while wearing sun/regular glasses without feeling the pull on your ears that you usually get with any other hat
Robert –
Nice for you in between seasons of summer and winter.
Tim –
These are amazing for under helmets fat biking and skiing. Nice just to wear around also!
